Cai Rang, the largest floating market in the Mekong Delta, is located just outside of Can Tho and is about a 30-minute boat ride from the city. The frenzy of commercial transactions on the river is electrifying. There are literally hundreds of boats in the waterway ready to sell their goods. You can hail a water taxi from the city. Try to negotiate a price by the hour. The best time to go is in the morning when the business day is just beginning. Bring your camera and small bills.
