Isla Diablo in San Blas (Kuna Yala)
Try to get a big hammock so you can stretch out at night

We slept side by side in this hut on Isla Diablo. Sleeping in a hammock--there is a way to lay with your back straight--takes getting used to. It's not the most comfortable thing. But, after spending the day in paradise, can you really complain? Bring a sweater and something to cover yourself with. It gets chilly at night. Also, I would recommend sleeping with your face covered. Two words: falling cockroaches.

Do not stay at isla diablo! The food is horrible, my whole family got food poisoning while we were there. To top it off, the toilet is repulsive, going behind a tree is much preferable. Unfortunately, $45 a night doesnt even get you toilet paper or drinkable water. Really beautiful, but like hell in paradise. Islas sanidup and banidup are much better!

Seriously on the big hammock thing... The Kuna are generally shorter and so are their hammocks.
