Do not take taxis with the drivers offering services at the airport - they charge unreal prices. Bear in min that Baku is the most expensive city in the former CIS republics - accommodations below 70Euro per night are hard to find. An excellent place to stay is Noah's Arc Hotel. You better learn some everyday phrases - that will help a lot because the locals often know no English. DO visit the miniature book museum - it's the only in the world.When going to Sheki, buy a train ticket there, but go back to Baku by bus, because train tickets may not be available at the station; be ready for some 5 hours of crazy drive. In Sheki, go outside the city and climb a 1100 m hill (6-7 hoursboth ways).
