I was suprised to find out that not all of Saudi Arabia is dry with blistering heat. If you're ever in the Kingdom you must visit the city of Abha. Situated on top of a mountain(7,000ft), Abha has a lovely mild climate with luscious green parks and views that are utterly breathtaking. The best time to visit is during the off-season, which is year round except for the summer months. The Saudis visit Abha during the summer to enjoy the lovely weather and green parks, so the prices for lodging and food usually skyrocket. Attached is a picture of one of the beautiful picnic areas in Abha.
