What to Eat

Street Food

Cheap & Delicious

If you are in MonteVerde for the classic and well known rainforest zip line experience, stop off at the Taqueria in the middle of town in Santa Elena for an empanada. You won't be able to miss it as the city is basically 1 street. It's a small pink building the size of one room with taqueria written on the wall. Get your food para llevar or hang out in the back at the bar where you can watch your food being prepared. Food is delicious and we fed 3 people for 2,000 colones, or $4.00!! Enjoy.
