Delicious, Local Goat Cheese at Ataco French Restaurant

El Boton's eco-finca in Jujutla produces gourmet goat cheese that is used in many of the restaurant's menu items. The dishes here--the restaurant is known for its crepes, sandwiches and salads--are divine, filling, and satisfying. Perhaps the best part of the meal was the complimentary vino tinto de la casa and cheese buns. Give it a try if you can afford to treat yourself. Dishes are about $10 per plate but are big enough to share. If you are interested in taking a tour of the finca, the price is $5 pp and you can make a reservation at the restaurant or by calling 24-50 50 66.

Juayua isn't the only town on the Ruta de las Flores w/ a food fair

Ataco, a neighboring pueblo on the Ruta de las Flores, also has a gastronomical fair every weekend. The feria in Ataco is smaller and more intimate with more exotic foods on offer. Also held in the town square, the fair begins at 8am and shuts down around 7-8pm on Sat and 11pm on Sun.
