Nahuizalco Night Market Nothing Special

Since buses don't run between the towns at night, we paid $7 pp for a 20-minute cab ride arranged through Hostel Anahuac in Juayua for the RT journey. The market was somewhat of a disappointment. There were no arts and crafts, and the more adventurous food stuffs (i.e., river snails, iguana) were not available that night. We did, however, get to try atol del shuco, a spicy broth I hadn't had before. All-in-all, I wouldn't do the trip again for $7. My advice to you is to do the market during the day or to take the late bus to Nahuizalco and then try to arrange a taxi home from there. If you are a group, it should be cheaper than what we paid ($35 for 5 people).
