Where to cliff jump in San Marcos de Atitlan

San Marcos might be known for energy, rocks, yoga, and therapeutic healing, but in my opinion, the best activity to do in San Marcos is cliff jumping. When we went, the water was high, so the drop was only 20 feet. But at normal lake levels, it could be as much as a 30-feet drop. Truth be told, it is not actually a cliff jump but actually a platform jump, built over the cliff so that you don't hit the rocks. Entrance is Q15. To get there, follow the signs to Cerro Tzankujil, which you'll find on the main road leading up from the dock. FYI, the water is balls cold. Awesome way to spend the day!!!

If you're doing a day trip to San Marcos, you'll want to know that the last boat leaving for Pana leaves at 5pm. Don't get stuck. Locals pay Q8. Gringos should pay Q15, but you could be quoted a rate as high as Q25.
