What to Eat
Local Specialties
The baleada is a staple cuisine of Honduras and a must try street food for anyone traveling through. It's basically a flour tortilla filled with beans, cheese, eggs, maybe some meat, maybe some avocado. They crisp the outside of the tortilla, sort of like a quesadilla, but not. They are so good! I had one (literally) every single day I was in Honduras and recommend you do the same. They can be found on just about any street corner anywhere in the country and cost 15-25 lemps, or about $1. Enjoy!
