Memento To the Ones We Loved Who Did Not Love Us Back

Here you will find real-life storiessome dated, some more recentof broken relationships and the objects that represented them. These personal stories of rage, grief, depression, and gratitude help piece together the universal tale of love and loss experienced all over the world. Interestingly, the concept for the museum grew from the museum creators own failed relationship. The museum has won many international awards including the 2011 award for the most innovative museum in Europe, and is quite possibly the best museum I've ever been to. Museum hours are 9am until 10:30pm (June 1 Sept 30) and 9pm (Oct 1 May 31), and admission is 25 kn. More info at: www.brokenships.com.

Musicians, performers, beer lovers, and romantics pass through every evening/night during summer. Awesome place to go for great views of the city. Strossmartre is located in Upper Town near the Lotrscak Tower along the southern walls of the Old Town. More about Stross, including their summer program: http://www.ljetonastrosu.com.

Getting Around

Train

Train break

If you are taking the train in Croatia and travelling through Zagreb to get to the islands, be sure to take a walk to downtown Zagreb to soak in some culture while changing trains. Great little cafes and street views. Plus there are many small convienence stores lining the open park area to pick up snacks or drinks for the train.
