Canada is known for it's cultural diversity, laid back attitude and good people. It is a safe country and should provide a pretty care free experience. No matter what your particular taste is, you can most likely find it here.
The landscape throughout the country is impressive. Excellent ski/snowboard conditions and terrain in the west brings people from all around the world. Many people who visit Whistler (British Columbia) never leave.
Gigantic trees some 15m around can be found in British Columbia as well, and needless to say are quite the sight.
Canada is home to Niagara falls, one of the seven natural wonders of the world. Worth checking out for sure.
If your main objective is to ski/snowboard, plan your travel anywhere between November to March. These are colder months. For other outdoor activities - warmer out door activities - taking photos or sightseeing, come between May and August.
Oh, and if riding a rollercoaster in a mall sounds cool, go to Edmonton Mall.

In order to gain the most out of your travel experience, whether it be maturing, partying or just seeing the sights and ways of life of other cultures. You need to have an open mind. If you don't have an open mind, you constantly judge and assess people, places and things. You can't truly gain anything until you free your mind from stereotypes and what you've known to be "the norm".
Festivals & Events
Affectionately known as paradise by those who live here, the southwest coast & vancouver island are/is(?) an amazing destination. But aside from the natural beauty of its rainforests - with some of the largest ancient trees on the planet - mountains, beaches, lakes and lush valleys providing incredible nooks and crannies to explore... there are Music Festivals!
If you are in pursuit of that perfect sound, that hot new guitarist, or simply a lazy afternoon in the grass soaking up the ska, reggae, folk, jazz, bluegrass, rock, country or even metal... this is the place for you! Over 100 music festivals to choose among between April - October... and that's just in this region. BC has many many more than that if you're up for even more travel. (that's nearly 17/month so, you kinda have to PICK a few).
In addition to so many festivals, there are hotbeds of incredible talent in Vancouver, the Sunshine Coast, the Comox Valley and Victoria... where you can network & jam & get inspired!
If your travelling through Nicaragua and want to get from Esteli to Granada by avoiding Managua its possible to take a bus from Esteli's other bus statation Contre Notre to Masaya and then get a bus to Granada from there. The Masaya bus stop however is not like the other ones in Nicaragua there is no main terminal, signs etc... It is pretty hectic so if you are going to try this route instead make sure you ask someone right as you get off the bus where to go!
